OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The day to day management of a team of technicians, ensuring the importance of being customer focused, compliance to Health, Safety and Quality procedures, development of direct reports, co-ordination and performance management of individual technicians to a set of achievable targets.




KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Operate in a manner that ensures as a team, Kier Utilities achieves targets within the parameters of the agreed service level agreements and KPIs.
* Drive and support NPS initiatives. Promote and increase NPS survey responses across your team by continually raising awareness of NPS with our customers and team members
* Manage customer relationships and deal with any escalated complaints in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all work is completed in line with company SOP and other technical documents.
* Ensure full compliance with NRSWA Regulations.
* Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
* Carry out monthly one to ones with Technicians highlighting performance levels along with the ability to offer support and direction to meet and exceed targets.
* Escalate faults/complaints that cannot be resolved to Area Manager.
* Ensure that all necessary Compliance documentation is adhered to; e.g. HR, Safety, Quality, Vehicle audits etc.
* A minimum of 50% of time to be spent with your teams supporting installation activity, visiting & greeting our customers, driving quality and NPS
* Deputise for Area Manager when necessary
* Carry out any other duties or tasks deemed necessary by your Area Manager.
* Ensure excellent working relations are established and maintained with key interfacing areas, such as FSOC and other support functions.
* Ensure correct signoff of technician daily/weekly wages sheets
* Dealing with disciplinary and grievance in a professional manner



ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


* Previous experience of managing people.
* Ability to manage, motivate and grow a team.
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels
* Must have MS Office skills, especially in Word and Excel
* To be able to demonstrate a professional approach.
* Proven ability to build good relationships and meet client expectations
* Ability to manage conflict
* Able to drive / has a valid UK driving license.
* Ability to develop/support technicians
