Job Description :
Kier provides specialist teams and technology solutions to help plan, manage and improve our clients’ workplaces. Our key clients include the Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Company, Legal and General, Kent County Council, Oldham Council, BAE and the London Borough of Southwark. We also work with a number of schools and academies, the Welsh Government and hold a major contract with the NHS in Yorkshire and Humber.

Key Responsibilities

* Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues
* Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory issues and applications
* Assessing what surveys are required before work can start and ensuring that they are undertaken and their results fed into the project
* Preparing and presenting detailed drawings using computer aided design methods with a focus on REVIT
* Participating in the detailed design process and the production and co ordination of design information.
* Liaising with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval.
* Contribute to design risk assessments, principal designer duties.
* Administer contracts and visit sites as required.
* Support local and national sales and bids as appropriate.
* Managing more junior members of the team.
* Regional coverage of projects within Lincolnshire, Eastern Counties and nationally.
Key Skills and Qualifications

* Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT or ACIAT) or HNC/Degree
* Sound technical background
* Experience of team working
* Knowledge of all current construction regulations.
* Proven and extensive relevant experience incl. education projects, blue light, health and leisure.
* Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts including full service and Design and Build
* Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of building construction with an ability to analyse work by other technician’s and designer’s and give guidance on best practice, whilst showing a great awareness of the impact on other disciplines’
* Ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team
* Ability to work to programme and agreed deadlines
* Regular use and familiarity of REVIT and understanding of BIM up to level 2 and all relevant IT and CAD software packages.
* Use of NBS Create/Buildingtrong experience of REVIT. extensive relevant experience.
