| Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Salary: Circa £34k
Location: North West; Manchester
The growing North West geotechnical team of a renowned consultancy are seeking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help develop and diversify the work of the unit.
You will provide a supporting role to the MAC9 and MAC13 geotechnical project managers in project managing individual schemes from inception through to ground investigation, detailed design and feedback report stage after construction.
Key deliverables will be the issue of high quality reports in accordance with HD22/02 ‘ Managing Geotechnical Risk’ and meeting the requirements set out in HD41/03 Maintenance of Highway Geotechnical Assets. You may have significant input into geotechnical advice on Early Contractor Involvement schemes.
A major responsibility will be to act as project manager for areas of ‘non MAC9 and/or 13 work ’ and /or ‘non-Highways Agency’ related geotechnical work (eg. Bae, Rail, Water utilities etc), and where necessary to seek this work out.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious senior engineer ready to take the next step into a management/ business development role while retaining significant technical input.
