Job Purpose
An advanced grade level individual entering this position already poses technical knowledge, skill and several years of experience for which the position requires. Provides a professional consulting service including supporting project managers and undertaking own project managing relating to projects on Compliance surveys and related projects. Position Responsibilities
· Ensuring that Health and Safety issues are addressed throughout the life of a project.
· Conducting site walkovers to support proposal development.
· Assisting and developing proposals for asbestos related services.
· Coordinating asbestos removal contractors during remediation projects.
· Completing Type 1, 2 and 3 compliance surveys
· Coordinating with Analytical Laboratories to secure sample transfer for analysis and in a timetable consistent with project requirements
· Coordinating with project managers to support aspects of heath & safety risk assessments on a project-by-project basis.
· Completing site survey reports for utilisation in review and approval process.
· Being responsible for ensuring that all documents are issued within UKAS quality system, spell checked, paginated and proof read before issue.
· Being familiar with URS quality management systems (including UKAS accreditation) and ensure its effective implementation by the team for all projects and proposals.
Position Objectives
· Able to prepare project briefing notes/project plans informing staff of scope of work, budget, deliverables and client specific requirements.
· Able to efficiently and effectively communicate to team members on all project related matters.
· Able to interact with Client representatives, subcontractors for effective project management.
· Ensures Principal in Charge is aware of financial status of projects and resourcing needs.
· Able to supervise staff at P1 and P2 grades
· Able to work with minimal supervision under the guidance of staff at P4 grades.

| Skills: |
Knowledge:
Detailed understanding, interpretation and application of Asbestos Surveying (Building & Soil), Asbestos Remediation, Asbestos Air Monitoring
Skills:
IT literate; good communicator; Project Management; pragmatic
Experience:
Minimum 4 - 6 years experience.
Qualifications:
A first degree is required either a bachelor's degree or master's degree. Requires a P402 and S301 qualification from BIOHS.
Full driving license and willingness to travel throughout UK and Europe.
