| This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world's leading environmental consultancies and work within a challenging international environment on projects for one of our most prestigious clients. You will have a BSc / MSc in Environmental Science or related subject and be prepared to be located in the Middle East and Caspian Region for a period of up to 2 years. You must be familiar with Environmental Impact Assessment and environmental reporting and have excellent report writing skills.
Job Purpose:
Provide professional consulting services supporting project managers working primarily for the oil and gas industry.
How the job fits into the organisation:
The role is within the URS Baku office as part of the Middle East and Caspian Region. In addition to Baku, the Region offers environmental and engineering services to oil and gas clients in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Riyadh. This position fulfills part of a team role in providing these services to clients and exists both to establish a level known competence within the group and provide a ladder for professional development.
Position Responsibilities:
Team focus, contribution to projects in the region (Caspian/Middle East) as appropriate to background and experience;Provision of technical input to projects assigned to other Project Managers either in Baku or elsewhere;Interface with clients as required;Assistance to the Managing Principal in marketing and sales of URS services in the Middle East and Caspian Region including proposal preparation;Field-work as required;Factual and interpretive report writing;Based in the Baku office but may be the requirement for travel to the other regional offices to assist on projects as appropriate.
Position Objectives:
Introduction to existing in-country team with a view to developing experience and maintaining capability in the Region;Assistance for Project Managers and resourcing of project services;Client satisfaction through proper implementation of project tasks to achieve objectives.

| Skills: |
BSc in Environmental Science or related subject.
MSc in similar. Highly motivated, team worker, attention to detail, strong communication skills, willingness and ability to learn, based in Azerbaijan with flexibility to travel within the Middle East and Caspian Region if required, hard working.
Knowledge/experience of Environmental Impact Assessment coupled with excellent interpretative, English writing and reporting skills are essential criteria for the position.
A strong preference would be given to prospective candidates with experience of working within the oil, gas and power industries. |
