Description: |
We are looking to recruit a Civil Package Project Manager to become part of the most exciting power project to be undertaken in South Africa for 20 years:
The Medupi Project. As a joint project team with our client, we will be building the largest coal-fired super critical power station in the world, comprising 6 units of 800MWe. The project is currently the largest construction project taking place in the Southern hemisphere.
The work includes bulk excavation for the clean and dirty water dams; bulk excavation, concrete works and hydraulics for the raw water dam; Ash washdown treatment facility.
The key responsibilities of the role will include financial, programme, contract and Assett management for the package; Document control and approval; management and development of the package team; coordination and design review for engineering and interfacing packages; responsibility for safety, quality and environment.
Specific tasks will include inspecting:
o Financial, Programme, Contract and Asset Management for the package
o Documentation Control & Approval
o Management and development of the package human resources
o Coordination and Review in Engineering Design
o Coordination and Review on interfacing packages with other package managers
o Responsible for Safety, Quality and Environment
o Mentorship & coaching (Skills Development
